Abdul Khader (7 April 1926 - 16 January 1989), better known by his stage name Prem Nazir (Malayalam: പ്രേം നസീര്‍), was an Indian film actor. He is considered one of the all time super stars in Malayalam cinema. He is referred to as the Nithya Haritha Nayakan (Ever Green Hero) of Malayalam cinema.

Nazir holds four Guinness records; for playing the lead role in nearly 610 films,[1] for playing opposite the same heroine in 107 films (with Sheela),[2] for acting in lead roles in thirty nine films which were released in a single year (1979),[3] and for acting opposite eighty heroines.[4] He is regarded as one of the most successful actors in Indian cinema, and is also known for his powerful performances in films like Iruttinte Athmavu, Kallichellamma, Dhwani, Murappennu, Anubhavangal Paalichakal, Padayottam, Vida Parayum Munpe, Azhakulla Saleena, and Nadhi.[4] The Government of India has honoured him with the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, the third and fourth highest civilian honours respectively, for his contribution towards Indian cinema.
Early life

Nazir was born in Chirayinkeezhu in the princely state of Travancore, to Akkode Shahul Hamid and Asuma Beevi. His mother died when he was very young. He completed his formal education from Kadinamkulam Lower Primary School, Sri Chithiravilasam School, S D College (Alappuzha), and Saint Berchman's College (Changanassery). By the time he completed his education, he had become an experienced drama artist. It was on the sets of his second movie, Visappinte Vili (1952), that Abdul Khader was renamed Prem Nazir by Thikkurussi Sukumaran Nair.

Pran (born Pran Krishan Sikand on 12 February 1920) is a multiple Filmfare and BFJA award-winning Indian actor, who is one of the most popular villains of Hindi cinema.[2] He has appeared in over 350 films. Pran played the leading man in films like Halaku (1956) and Dharma(1973) , Jangal Mein Mangal (1972), Gaddar and Ek Kunwari Ek Kunwara (1973). His pivotal roles in the films as dacoit Raka in Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), films like Victoria No. 203, Manoj Kumar’s Upkaar (1967) and Purab Aur Paschim, Aurat(1967), Half Ticket (1962), as 'Sher Khan' in Zanjeer (1973), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Don (1978) are considered to be among his best performances.

In 2010, he has been named the list of CNN's "top 25 Asian actors of all time". [1] [2]

He won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award three times in 1967, 1969, and 1972 and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. In 2001, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India, for his contribution to Indian cinema. Contrary to the villainous characters he played in his early films, he is very social, a member of various organizations, and even has his very own football team, 'Bombay Dynamos Football Club'.

Prem Chopra (Devanagari: प्रेम चोपड़ा) is an actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He has acted in over 400 films.
Personal life and education

Chopra was born in a Hindu Punjabi Khatri family Lahore on 23 September 1935 to Ranbirlal and Rooprani Chopra.[1] He was third of six children they had. After partition of India, his family moved to Shimla, India where he was brought up. His father desired that Prem be a doctor. He graduated from Punjab University[disambiguation needed].

He is 6'2" in height.

Chopra married Uma sister of Krishna Kapoor wife of late Bollywood showman Raj Kapoor, and they have three daughters: Rakita, Punita and Prerana. Punita is married to actor, Vikas Bhalla,[2] while Prerana Chopra is married to actor, Sharman Joshi.
Career

Chopra joined the newspaper The Times of India in Mumbai in the late 1950s. He kept trying to get a break in films, and in 1962 got a Punjabi film Chaudhary Karnail Singh. The film won a National Award and got Prem noticed.

Among his early films he played Sukhdev in Shaheed, one of his rare positive leading roles. After Teesri Manzil and Upkaar, he was flooded with films as a villain. After Upkaar in 1967, he left The Times of India.

He has ever since been a leading villain in Hindi films. The dialogue " Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra" (My name is Prem, Prem Chopra) from the film Bobby has been very popular. Another famous Prem Chopra dialogue is "Mai wo bala hoon jo sheshay se pathar ko todtee hai" which closely translates to "I am that trouble which crushes stones with glass".

Of late, he has started taking comic and character roles too.

He had a good career spanning 35 years and was popular for villain roles in Bollywood. He is one of the villains in 1970's time.
