Jimmy Shergill Biography
Jasjit Singh Gill (born 3 December 1970), popularly known as Jimmy Shergill (Punjabi: ਜੀਮੀ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿਲ), is an Indian actor.
Early life

Shergill was born in a Jatt Sikh family in Gorakhpur, India and studied there till 5th Grade. Then, his family shifted to Patiala (Punjab). He studied in Punjab Public School(PPS), Nabha, and completed his graduation from Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala.
Film career

He started his career with Maachis, a movie based on terrorism in North India. The film was critically acclaimed and did reasonably well at the box office. Jimmy has since worked in many films but only few have been successful. He starred in My Name is Khan alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.
Shergill has performed a variety of roles in various films such as Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Delhi Heights and A Wednesday. He has been a critically acclaimed performer ever since his entry into Bollywood. His role in Mohabbatein was well appreciated. He went on to act in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and Tanu Weds Manu.
One of his best performances was in the movie Haasil where he plays the role of a college student who gets roped into the infamous student politics of Allahabad University.
